Hummingbird allows for easy optimization and management of office floor plans, people and meeting schedules - making it easy for employees to find, reserve and request assets via their computers or mobile devices.
Working in collaboration with Austin based creative agency, SeaLab, I was brought onboard to help unify iOffice's existing suite of applications, and to also collaborate with SeaLab's UX/UI team to improve the overall experience for Hummingbird users.
The challenge
With desktop and mobile applications being previously built on separate code bases, there was a disconnect in design and experience between platforms. iOffice had also recently updated their product branding, so primary project goals were:
- Address consistency across platforms and introduce iOffice's updated branding into the application's user interface design.
- Add enhanced features and optimize the user experience of the app to reduce the barrier of entry for Hummingbird users.

We used Sketch and InVision to produce interactive prototypes so that we could quickly get our optimized user experience in front of the client and their users for collaborative review and rapid iteration.

An intuative white-label interface
As a white-label product, it was important that we didn't use colour alone to distinguish between page elements. We designed a neutral, easy to read interface, along with acompanying colour swatches that ensures companies can add their own branding without adverse effects on usability and legibilty.
